Location & Facts
The Haus der Astronomie is located on top of the Königstuhl, the highest peak in the Odenwald Mountains, and is within the Lower Odenwald forest in Heidelberg. The peak is measured to be 567m high and allows for scenic views of both the River Necker and the Rhine Valley. If you visit the Haus der Astronomie we suggest you bring a pair of binoculars and a good camera to take advantage of the surrounding scenic beauty.
