Frankfurt - Facts & Figures
The field trip is to take place between March 13th and 16th 2014. The base location will be Frankfurt for the duration of the trip. Frankfurt is considered to be one of the most international cities in Germany with one of the largest financial centers housed there. The city offers a range of attractions for both business and pleasure visitors; with city tours and shopping excursions available.
There are many points of interest within the city of Frankfurt, a city zoo, a tower with an observation platform, opera house and many buildings of historical significance may be found. The currency in Frankfurt is the Euro and the time zone is Central European Time (CET) making it 1 hour on from current time in the UK. The international airport at Frankfurt transports over 56 million passengers each year using over 110 different airlines to around 300 destinations Worldwide. The motorway network that supports the airport is one of the busiest in Europe; a substantial rail network also supports the airport customer base.
